Welcome to

hungryghost, whose partner has RLS and occasionally experiences severe sleep deprivation. She can be debilitated for days at a time. Hungryghost would like to learn more about how to support her.

Please post a note telling us what, if anything, your partner is doing to manage her symptoms so that we can help both of you get better sleep.

Welcome to Zombie Mom

Post by Rustsmith »

Tuesday, August 6

Welcome to

Zombie Mom, who is at the point where sleeping pills won't work. She often finds herself not falling asleep until 5 or 6am. Sometimes, she just don't sleep at all and is a zombie for the following 24 hours. It seems to worsen with age. She now finds it traveling up her arms... is this possible???!!! She has spent too much trying to solve this. She can't hold down a regular job and can't plan things or go on vacation because she can't travel with all of her "sleep devices" and pills. It is making her miserable.

Most of us have been where you are and there are ways to get more sleep. It also sounds like you may be experiencing augmentation. Please post a note telling us what pills you are taking so that we can offer some suggestions to get more and better sleep.

Welcome to jane-dr who is experiencing symptoms that may or may not be RLS. They have been diagnosed with RLS, but doesn't seem right to them.

jane-dr, RLS can be tough to diagnose. And, can occur simultaneously with other things, making it hard to tease apart. Please start a new post and tell us about what is happening. We will do our best to share our experiences and hopefully help you figure it out.
