We were very fortunate. Many were not, particularly in North Carolina. We continue to pray for them.ViewsAskew wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2024 5:41 pmWhen I first saw the word Helene, I was thinking much worse. I am not downplaying suffering symptoms! Just very glad you are safe and that now you do have your prescription.Brynmr wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:59 pm Well, I got hit by hurricane Helene. Our power went out on the 27th (Friday). My prescription for oxy was to be filled on the 30th (Monday). The pharmacies were all closed. Thinking the power would be back on in a few hours, I took Friday's 20mg of oxy. That left me 8 - 5mg pills. Saturday it looked like the pharmacies would be out for days so I cut back to 2 pills a day. Monday, with 4 pills left, I cut back to one pill a day. Fortunately, the pharmacies opened on Tuesday and I got my prescription filled. It was very difficult. I suffered all weekend and Monday was the worse butI got through it.
Oxy dosage not working

Re: Oxy dosage not working
Hi Brynmr,
The way you are at the mercy of your Dr. and drug store is one reason I've stuck with Kratom. I order it on the Internet. It works like a mild opioid, and I always have some extra on hand. It also means that I use so little Oxy that just one or two will usually get me through a long airplane flight, since I haven't built up any tolerance to it. Mr doctor gives me one bottle of it, and it usually lasts a year, as I save it for situations like flights or long car rides or shows at night
So glad you got enough finally to see you through, and so glad things are opening again. I have a sister with M.S. who used to live in Florida, but last year she moved to Pennsylvania. I was SO relieved this week.
Stay well.

Re: Oxy dosage not working
It sounds like you are on instant-release Oxy. You may want to add Oxycotine ER, an extended-release that is very helpful for nighttime.
I take the IR during the day and then at night I take the ER and it works well, with some breakthrough but better than the IR at night.
