Fingers crossed. And I appreciate the thoughts and encouragement. Best to all of you.
It would be easier with an opioid. But you don't have one, so remember to tell yourself if things get dreadful that THIS IS TEMPORARY. Our bodies are reluctant to let go of the Mirapex. We will suffer for that - but it is temporary. Second, be nice to yourself; don't expect anything of yourself during the withdrawal. Take leave from work. Ask someone else to help with the kids. Whatever drastic measures you might need.

if you were to stop cold turkey, you would get 3-5 days of hell (that would seem like 3-5 weeks), but you would start to notice improvements and be able to sleep a bit by the third day; then a couple of weeks of getting to your new baseline.

If you do a a tapered withdrawal, although none of it will be nice, none will be that terrible. Again, it will end - it just will take longer to end.

Remember the two things: this is temporary, and don't expect anything of yourself. You've got this; others have done it so you can too!
Beth - Wishing you a restful sleep tonight
