Whether new to RLS or new to the site, we welcome you and invite you to share your history and experiences with WED/RLS, introduce yourself, and ask questions. Successful treatment starts with a solid understanding of this disease.

Physical Treatments
Please share your experiences, successes, and failures in using non-drug therapies for RLS (WED) - that is, methods of relief that don't involve swallowing or injecting anything, including compression, heat, light, stretches, acupuncture, and more. Also under this heading, medical interventions that don't involve the administration of a medicine to the body (eg. varicose-vein operations, deep-brain stimulation). Non-prescription Medicines, Supplements, Diet
Here you can share your experiences with substances that are ingested, inhaled, or otherwise consumed for the purpose of relieving RLS (WED), other than prescription medications. For example, herbal remedies, nutritional supplements, diet, kratom, and marijuana (for now) should be discussed here. Tell others of successes, failures, side effects, and any known research on these substances. [Posts on these subjects created prior to 2009 are in the Physical Treatments forum.]

Prescription Medications
Use this section to discuss your experiences with prescription drugs, iron injections, and other medical interventions that involve the introduction of a drug or medicine into the body. Discuss side effects, successes, failures, published research, information about drug trials, and information about new medications being developed.

Use this forum to discuss any issues associated with Augmentation

Special Populations: Pediatric, Pregnancy, Kidney Disease, etc.
RLS (WED) occurs more frequently in certain populations, including people with end-stage renal disease, women during pregnancy, and people with iron deficiency. Also, RLS/WED in the elderly and children brings other challenges. Sharing your experiences may be extraordinarily helpful to others.
