Re: Spinal Stimulator

Yes Deb, thanks for this indeed ! Long term , this may be my best answer (especially if/when my rls progresses further) I have been referred for a trial , but at this time covid and other things have delayed this indefinitely. Keep the updates coming please ! I had two trials. Most people have one....

Re: Infusion

Yeah, my niece offered to pay for weekly infusions, but that's too much. I won't allow that. If you have plenty of money, it's great.

Re: Infusion

I now have had two nights since the infusion. I did not need my usual extra meds at bedtime and I was able to sleep. I did have more energy during the day. The only problem is that since my sleep is so messed up, I had trouble going to sleep, even though I was tired and relaxed. Those bedtime meds h...

This is what got today: IV 2000mg Magnesium, 5000 mcg b12, 600 mg glutathione and 5cc poly mva which is alpha lipoic acid. Re: Spinal Stimulator

I think I finally found the right balance. When they put the stimulator in, they set it at Program 1 Level 4. I am now on Program 3. At first we tried turning up the level with each program. Finally figured out, I was being over stimulated. I was turned down to Level 3. Then we tried turning it down...

Re: Spinal Stimulator

I don't have a spinal injury. I have osteoarthritis which has affected my spine. This is a gamble but worth a try. I had to adjust my stimulator several times before finding the right place. The reps work close with me. Last night wasn't so great for me but then the two previous nights, I slept all ...

Re: Pit of despair.

I should have added that I moved to New Mexico to get out of the high altitude, which for me was 8,000 feet. That contributed to my central sleep apnea. Moving helped me.

Re: Must I have a sleep study done?

So sorry, debbluebird, that I forgot all about this thread. I emailed Dr. Rye's office to tell him I really didn't want a study and yes, I did cite financial hardship among other things. Long story short, even though I kept inquiring over the next 3 weeks, the doctor never replied even though his s...

Re: Pit of despair.

There is hope. I took pramipexole for about 9 years and then like you, the Doctor prescribed more not realizing I was augmenting. I didn't know what it was at that time. Then I was switched to a host of meds that turned me into a zombie. Finally I changed Doctors and she put me on methadone. I was a...

Re: How many hours do you sleep?

I’ve gotten very very serious about tracking my sleep. Recently, I’ve actually bought a high end sleep research device to determine what is lacking - quality or quantity or both. I’ve always thought my sleep quality was poor but, only 5 nights in, it’s clear I am not getting nearly as much sleep as...

Re: Stressless Chairs

I have found that if I sit in a chair or car with my feet and legs going to the floor then later I have more symptoms. It helps me to have my legs up in the recliner when at home and not just any recliner. It has to be comfortable. I have a lazy boy.

Re: Spinal Stimulator

This is not an easy thing to go through, but it is worth it to me. We are still working out which program and level will work best for me. It is getting better. It through a monkey wrench into everything when It weaned off the methadone.
