looking for doctor in Northwest or CA

Post by pexj »

I have been on this site quite a few times recently and have a primary care doctor who openly admits he is unqualified to help me with my RLS. If I find something that looks to be of value, he is willing to help me through it. I really appreciate him. He is also willing to call a specialist is we can find one. The issue, we can't find one. If anyone has a specialist that is willing to take one more patient. Please advise, I am willing to travel as my RLS is in the severe category. It seems that there are few neurologists who have an interest in the disease. I have Medicare and supplemental insurance, so money is not a limiting factor. Have disease, will travel, if there is someone who can help me.

If you cannot get to one of the specialists, you are fortunate in that you have a doctor who is willing to learn from you. In that regard, share this document with him (after you read it yourself). The document was prepared by RLS specialists specifically to educate GPs who are not familiar with treating RLS. https://www.mayoclinicproceedings.org/a ... 0/fulltext

If you can travel to CA, there is an RLS Quality Center in Palo Alto.
