While home for break, I decided to get a full iron panel done for my 22 year old son. He currently DOES NOT have any RLS symptoms. Here are his results:
Ferritin- 73.1
Iron - 103
Iron Binding Capacity - 326
Iron Saturation - 32%
I’m wondering if he should start on oral iron supplementation every other day. And, of course, I would have him get tested regularly.
Any advice?

Re: Advice of Iron Supplement for Son
Since he does not currently experience RLS symptoms, his iron levels appear to be normal. Oral iron supplementation would therefore not seem to be necessary. A normal diet with plenty of iron (red meat, green leafy vegetables) is probably sufficient for your son. If he eats as much food as I did when I was his age, that should not be an issue.
