Welcome to
austinl, who has had messed up sleep for a few years. He was able to mostly use a massage pad during flare ups. Then, last year it became bad enough to start on meds. He has cut out all caffeine and alcohol… both of which he used to enjoy.
Hopefully your doctor did not start you on pramipexole or ropinerole last year since these are no longer recommended as first line treatments for RLS. If you are taking one of these meds, you might want to share a copy of this document with your doctor. https://jcsm.aasm.org/doi/10.5664/jcsm.11390
And if you have any questions, feel free to post a message and tell us what we can do to help.

Welcome to TonySM
Monday, March 31
Welcome to
TonySM, who has been dealing with RLS for two decades now. He suffers it every night. It has been very difficult to live with RLS and have a "normal", productive life. He is a retired university teacher and concentrating on academic work has been a real challenge.
As an adjunct professor, to totally understand. It is difficult to concentrate on the fine points of academic work when your sleep the night before was broken and limited.
If you have any questions that we can help with, all that you need to do is post a message and ask.
