I wish they had rental units of this device for people who cannot afford it or if their insurance does not cover the cost. Also, it would be nice to try it before you buy it, as it may not work and $6000 is a lot to pay for something you are not even sure if would work.
Also, I would be afraid that my doctor would take away the medication that is working currently, and I would not get the medds back if this device did not help.

That is such an important point! I wouldn't want to take medications I didn't need, but I wouldn't want to lose them forever!Lissa496 wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 6:36 pm I wish they had rental units of this device for people who cannot afford it or if their insurance does not cover the cost. Re: New device: NXT 100 ToMAC
During a consult with my RLS/Sleep Doc. today, it was suggested that NIDRA would be worthwhile for me to try. My RLS symptoms date back to childhood and I've tried most meds. Currently, I'm using 1.8 ml methadone. Yes, ml since the pills can't be cut that small. I have some breakthrough symptoms at night. I'd like to get off methadone entirely, and my doc. had other suggestions. I have chronic pain, so it's impossible to tease out the movements from pain versus RLS. I plan to pursue the NIDRA. Unfortunately, my doc. said for some reason, it's not available my state -- NJ, the state of supreme taxation. I have not begun the process with Nidra, but want to hear from folks who've used it to determine what success others have had.

Well, I just filled out the paperwork. We will see if Medicare will pay. There is a code for it, now, so maybe. If it doesn't pay, I won't get it. If it does, then I will.

I hope they will pay for it! I will be there shortly, and with the cost, I cannot afford it!ViewsAskew wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 7:08 pm Well, I just filled out the paperwork. Just got on Medicare a few months ago - such a happy day, lol. I filled out the paperwork last week, but still haven't sent it. I need to do that today....Lissa496 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 1:07 pmI hope they will pay for it!
