Useful information, even tho it's from 2014. When I started taking gabapentin (a similar medication) in 2008 or 9, there was no warning about suicide on it. I think they mentioned mood swings. By the time I stopped taking it a year later, there was a warning on it that it could cause suicidal ideation. It certainly did for me. Very scary drug. But just to point out that every medication affects everyone differently, I have been able to take low doses of pregabalin. I'm ok on 75 mg. Twice I went up to 150 or more, and both times I had slipped into depression for weeks before I realized what was causing it. But I seem to be fine on 75.

For what it's worth, I couldn't tolerate pregabalin. Was on the lowest dosage and had to discontinue. Too depressing and it didn't seem to help RLS for me.

This is a good illustration of how it's different for everyone. Some people benefit without side effects, while others have this potentially deadly side effect.
