Re: Belbuca Patch

I took buprenorphine twice. The first time I took the 2 mg sublingual. The pills were tiny. But it was the most powerful drug I have ever taken. I was able to take it once every three days and I would use my power plate vibration platform the other days. Some times I would sleep until 3PM but ...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome

Thanks for the update Michael. Hopefully, your experience has been educational for those facing dopamine agonist withdrawal as warning not to do it too quickly if you are coming down from a high level and to do so under the guidance of a doctor who understands augmentation and proper DA withdrawal ...

Re: Belbuca Patch

Has anyone ever tried this patch? It's buprenorphine in a patch form.
Thanks

I use Suboxone sublingual, not the patch. Many have discussed issues with tooth decay. I think when Suboxone was first introduced, the manufacturers didn't discuss proper oral hygiene. I talked to my dentist and this ...

Another post about burning feet and legs

I've searched this board so often regarding burning feet but I thought I would start a new topic to get any current advice.

After being on a high dose of Sinemet for 18 months, I switched over to Suboxone. Three weeks after starting Suboxone, I wrote in my symptom diary that I was experiencing ...

Timing and dosages of Suboxone (buprenorphine)

For the Suboxone users on this forum, when do you take your medication? And how many doses do you take per day?

My symptoms show up in the early evening and in the morning. It's 10:30am and I'm shaking my leg furiously as I type this. I just started to increase my nightly dose to cover my morning ...

Steve, I'm following this post. I'm so glad the ketamine didn't affect your RLS. Keep us informed how the remaining treatments go. I wish you well

Re: Opioid Side Effect - Alerting?

I was speaking with one of the Foundation Board members about medication side effects and I mentioned that I cannot take methadone at night. I have to take it at lunchtime because it causes a side effect that prevents me from being able to fall asleep for about eight or nine hours. If I try to ...

Advice of Iron Supplement for Son

While home for break, I decided to get a full iron panel done for my 22 year old son. He currently DOES NOT have any RLS symptoms. Here are his results:

Ferritin- 73.1
Iron - 103
Iron Binding Capacity - 326
Iron Saturation - 32%

I’m wondering if he should start on oral iron supplementation every ...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome

Thanks for such a clear description of what you’re currently going through. I’ve been off Sinemet for 4 1/2 months and am experiencing the same symptoms of DAWS that you are - depression, anxiety, agitation. I am on Suboxone, though, which is controlling my RLS and allowed me to stop my high dosage ...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome

Becky...yeah I believe your'e right, sounds like we both are now not only suffering from Restless Leg Syndrome but also Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome (DAWS)...Its been approximately 8-months since stopping all dopamine medications that I'd taken for the 20-plus years the withdrawal symptoms ...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome

Hi Michael, it's been 3 and 1/2 months since I stopped taking a high dose of Sinemet (carbidopa/levodopa) but I added Suboxone to help with the transition. You are the only person who is talking about DAWS. It's been a little rough-going for me since I stopped the DA. I've experienced anxiety and ...

Re: Looking to hear from people who replaced DA with Suboxone

Michael, that's really interesting. I first thought the electrical sensations were from stopping my high dose of DA but my doctor didn't think so. Anyhow, it's good to hear that they are slowly getting less intense for you.

Re: Looking to hear from people who replaced DA with Suboxone

Hi Beverly, thanks so much for your message. I did ask my doc (Dr. Buchfuhrer) about it and he didn't have an answer for me. He hadn't heard of this sensation from any of his other patients on Suboxone. Said to increase my dose by a little and see if that helped. I was on 3/4mg per day and bumped it ...
